Jira Server End of Life

On from February 2, 2021 PT, Atlassian stopped selling new Jira server licenses and ceased new feature development in their server product line. To facilitate a smooth transition:

  1. Customers could continue to purchase and receive maintenance and support for an additional three years, ending February 2, 2024 PT.

  2. Customers could purchase new Marketplace apps for server for additional two years, ending February 2, 2023 PT.
  3. Customers could extend existing Marketplace App support for up to 3 years, ending February 2, 2024 PT.

  4. Atlassian provided loyalty discounts for eligible customers to upgrade to our Cloud or Data Center products at a lower price.

eazyBI for Jira Server App

Since February 2, 2023 PT customers can no longer purchase new eazyBI for Jira server licenses. Existing eazyBI for Jira Server customers can extend the maintenance and receive app updates until Feb 2, 2024.

eazyBI licenses are perpetual. A perpetual license will allow the customer to use the licensed software indefinitely. For the first year, the perpetual license also entitles the customer to download all updates to the software and to receive technical support.

Special Migration Incentives

  • Dual licensing - Server or Data Center customers purchasing Cloud annual license with 1,000+ users with existing server/DC license is not more than 30 days past expiry, can receive a free Server/Data Center license for 1 year. If you're eligible for Dual Licensing, please contact Atlassian Licensing Support to request a license or contact support@eazybi.com if you have any questions.

  • 250-User DC – Server customers migrating to Data Center with a current eazyBI for Jira Server license of 250 users or less can receive a 33% Data Center license discount for a 500-user eazyBI for Jira Data Center license for 1 year. Please contact support@eazybi.com to request the discount.

  • Migration Trial Extension - Server or Data Center customers migrating cloud before the expiration of existing license can receive an extended free trial on the new platform matching the remaining duration of the current Server/DC license period. A customer can activate a free cloud migration Trial via my.atlassian.com, the cloud migration webpage, through an Atlassian-sent email, or by contacting eazyBI support at support@eazybi.com.

NOTE: Trial extension provided by eazyBI is does not create a valid Atlassian Marketplace license. Instead we grant full eazyBI access on cloud even with an inactive/expired Atlassian Marketplace trial license. To use this type of license, you'll need to start Atlassian Marketplace trial, install eazyBI and then cancel the Atlassian Marketplace trial. If Atlassian Marketplace trial is not cancelled, you'll be automatically subscribed and charged after the end of Atlassian Marketplace trial.)

eazyBI for Jira Server FAQ

Will I be able to purchase new licenses or extend the maintenance after Feb 2, 2021?

It is not possible to purchase new server licenses. Existing customers can continue app renewals with a prorated end date of February 2, 2024 to match Atlassian's server products' end of support date.

Will there be any updates?

Yes, eazyBI will provide all the same feature updates, bug-fixes, and support that is available for Cloud and Data Center platforms until the EOL of server support.

Will eazyBI keep working after Feb 2, 2024?

Yes, eazyBI server licenses are perpetual and will continue working together with the latest legacy Server versions even after the end of the support for Server.

Will eazyBI provide any updates or support after Feb 2, 2024?

It is likely that eazyBI will provide software updates and support (outside of Atlassian Marketplace) on annual subscription basis (billed directly by eazyBI) for the legacy Server versions even after Feb 2, 2024.

What are the differences between eazyBI for Cloud, Server, and Data Center platforms?

The core eazyBI functionality is the same on all hosting platforms. There are some 3rd party apps and functions currently unavailable on Cloud due to technical limitations. Compare eazyBI Cloud vs Server and Data Center. 

What's the max number of users in eazyBI on Cloud? Can eazyBI handle it?

eazyBI supports the maximums number of users supported by Atlassian platforms. Currently the max number of users is 20'000.
eazyBI's cloud infrastructure is mature, stable, and able to handle large number of users and data sizes. We are constantly improving our cloud infrastructure in order to provide better eazyBI for Jira Cloud performance for large instances and data amounts.

Will we be able to transfer/migrate to Jira DC or Jira Cloud at a later time? 

Yes, when you're ready to migrate, you can use eazyBI database migrator to migrate eazyBI from Server to Cloud, Server to Data Center, or Server to Data Center.

Will the old perpetual eazyBI for Jira Server license work on Jira Data Center?

No. You need an eazyBI for Jira Data Center license in order to run eazyBI on Jira Data Center.

What will be the price of migration to the Cloud or to the Data Center?

The new license cost depends on the platform and user-plan of the new license. You can calculate prices in the eazyBI pricing page.
